1942 at Time Rift Arcade

1942 by Capcom puts you in the cockpit of a P-38 Lightning fighter as you battle your way across the Pacific during World War II. Perform daring rolls, take down enemy squadrons, and outmaneuver massive bombers in one of the most iconic vertical shooters ever made. Its simple yet challenging gameplay, tight controls, and catchy soundtrack made it an instant arcade favorite. Every mission pushes your reflexes and accuracy to the limit as you fight to reach Tokyo and turn the tide of battle. Strap in, pilot — it’s time to earn your wings!

We bought 1942 for next to nothing at an arcade auction in Denton Texas.  The game is actually in an Omega Race cabinet. 1942 was sold as a kit game, designed to be put inside existing cabinets that arcade operators wanted to repurpose.  It’s very common to find 1942 in a Pac-Man cabinet!  We put a super awesome custom artwork on this game.

Arcade machines have minds of their own! You might want to call or email before visiting to verify. Sometimes a game decides to take an unscheduled nap in the repair shop.

November 1st, 2024: Monitor blank
Technician: David Murray
The monitor went dark, let out the magic smoke into the arcade!  Pulled chassis, found flyback to be cracked.  Replaced flyback.
