Trivia Night Recap July 1st, 2026 – Star Trek, The Smurfs, X-Men, Name that TV Show
Wednesday night at Time Rift Arcade turned into a full-on nerd gauntlet, and our trivia crowd showed up ready. We ran four rounds packed with deep cuts: Star Trek, The Smurfs, X-Men, and Name that TV Show. Some teams cruised through the cartoons and got humbled by the starships. Others knew every mutant on screen but blanked on a little blue village. Star Trek Trivia Recap
This round did not come to play nice. We blew right past the easy captain-and-catchphrase stuff and went deep into Voyager, Deep Space Nine, the animated series, and the films. Teams had to name androids, home planets, renamed space stations, and figure out exactly who betrayed the ship. There were a few questions in here that even die-hard Trekkies had to sweat over. The Smurfs Trivia Recap
A trip back to the little blue village, and it bit harder than anyone expected. Sure, the character quirks were fair game, but we also dug into Smurfette’s origin story, Gargamel’s endless schemes, and a handful of smurfs that even longtime fans forget exist. Instruments, pets, magic spells, and one very famous cat all made appearances. Three apples high and a whole lot tougher than it sounds. Nostalgia only carried teams so far here.

This round leaned hard into the movies, so the film buffs finally got their moment. We hit the big names, the iconic quotes, the fourth-wall breaks, and a few origin details that always trip people up. If you knew your adamantium from your Cerebro and could sort out who played who, you were golden. A couple of curveballs about powers and parentage kept the smart teams honest. Claws optional, but they would have helped.

One clue, one show, and absolutely no easy freebies mixed in. We jumped from talking dogs to space stations to California highway patrol without warning. The teams who knew their obscure 70s and 80s TV quietly pulled ahead while everyone else guessed. This round separated the casual viewers from the true couch historians.
