Galaga at Time Rift Arcade

Galaga by Namco is one of the most beloved and addictive arcade shooters of all time. Take control of your starfighter and face endless waves of alien swarms, dodging their attacks and striking back with precision. Capture and rescue your own ship for double firepower, and chase high scores as the challenge escalates. With its colorful visuals, smooth controls, and unforgettable sound effects, Galaga defined what made the golden age of arcades so thrilling. Simple to learn, impossible to master — Galaga still delivers cosmic fun decades later!

We acquired Galaga from one of our very own employees!  Richard Flint who likes to go by the nickname “Turbo” sold us this game!  We repainted the cabinet, added new artwork medallions to the side, replaced the CPO, and kick-panel artwork.

Arcade machines have minds of their own! You might want to call or email before visiting to verify. Sometimes a game decides to take an unscheduled nap in the repair shop.

June 12th, 2025: Joystick not working
Technician: Mike Murray
A customer reported that left was not working.  Checked and found the return spring broken.  In this game the spring is part of the leaf switch, rather just a sliver of metal the puts pressure to recenter the joystick.  Replaced return spring.
